Can Cannon Grenadier TACSOP (videos)

It is with great pleasure to announce that I have FINALLY finished the TACSOP videos for the Can Cannon Grenadier concept. Thank you for your patience, this has been several months in the making.

Topics covered:

  • Capabilities and limitations
  • Manual of arms & condition codes
  • Loading & firing procedures for the M7 and M9 smoke projectiles
  • Loadout recommendations
  • Tactics
  • Battle drills with demonstrations

I wanted to present this material in as professional and thorough a manner as possible. It ended up being over 20 minutes of content, so I had to split it up into two videos. They are linked below.

Ensure that you are in compliance with all state and federal laws before attempting to replicate anything you see in these videos.

I have also uploaded these same videos on Rumble, for those of you who prefer not to use YouTube.

More video content like this to come, hopefully faster now that I’m (sorta) getting the hang of making videos. If you have any suggestions for future content, let me know!

  1. A few tips. During the tactical portion, have your team members dressed like they are going on a mission specifically wearing OD and/or camouflaged clothing. Ditch the sunglasses as they reflect and give away your position. Wear face paint. On video 2 during the 3 round volley, have the grenadier cock the rifle first before firing the 2nd & 3rd round. This will decrease him being exposed as the smoke starts to emit from the grenade. Would a 20 rd mag be better for smaller profile, especially for humping on your back pack? Yes, I picking pepper from fly shit but video gives an excellent opportunity from constructive criticism. I look forward to your improvements

    1. Thank you for the criticism! My response is as follows:

      • It didn’t seem necessary at the time of filming to wear full field uniforms for the demonstration, but I’ll consider it in the future if it contributes to the professional appearance of the presentation.
      • Eye protection is necessary in the field, and in my experience tinted lenses do not reflect any more than clear lenses.
      • Respectfully, I’m not going to put on camouflage face paint for a few minutes of filming unless it contributes to the instruction that the video provides, though we do have it and use it for FMP exercises.
      • You are correct, it is proper form for the grenadier to immediately re-charge the weapon returning it to Condition 2 after every shot. We noted that after filming that scene, however, and re-shooting it would have cost us another $60 in munitions.
      • Yes, a 20-rd magazine would absolutely be beneficial. We just don’t have one yet.
